OSFM. One-size-fits-most: will suit dress sizes from 8 – 18.
Wondering how you might look in a pinny? Check out the foot of the page for photos of 3 ladies, of very different shapes & sizes, wearing the same one.
And don’t miss the pic of the lovely Phil,
showing just how fab a chap can look too !!
161. “Traditional Cloth” – £30 + p&p

This is one of my all-time, top 3 favourite pinnies! Don’t know why, really, as it’s “just” another cotton tablecloth conversion.
But it has a lovely fresh & homely vibe about it, prettily perked up with scarlet grosgrain ribbon pocket trim.
Reverse is a plain stone medium-weight cotton. Pocket trim is a cotton woven cream ribbon with a single horizontal denim-blue stripe.
171. “Bright Flowers” – £30 + p&p

Really sunny, cheerful, medium-weight cotton material on both sides: yellow & orange floral on cream ground on front, plain peachy-orange on reverse.
nb This pinny is a couple of inches narrower than usual, so probably best on anyone between sizes 8 – 14. Also, there is some residual creasing from its previous life (it was a curtain): I don’t think this detracts from its charm at all but, if it might bother you, please view it in person before buying.
152. “White Single Rose II” £35 + p&p
A very pretty cotton floral: peachy-pink buds open to pearly white, single flowers on a silver-grey ground; a few very pale sage-green liven it up further. I couldn’t resist using a silver satin ribbon for the pocket trim.
The reverse is a plain cream linen with a cream / sage striped cotton ribbon pocket trim.
172. “The Denim One VI” – £45 + p&p

12 oz indigo denim, with a lightweight grey / white large check, slightly seersucker cotton on the reverse.
The front pocket has a cream & indigo stripe trim,
and the rear a cream and red.
104. “Georgian Palette” – £25 + p&p
(Special Offer, see notes below)

Front: Soft, pale pink & white striped light-weight cotton. Silver satin pocket trim.
Back: Pale grey cotton with slight sheen. Pink/white stripe grosgrain pocket trim.
(‘Special Offer’: fabric has minor signs of wear – some bobbling & fold lines where previous seams were).
173. “The Denim One VII” – £45 + p&p

12 oz indigo denim again, this time with a lightweight green / white wavy pinstripe cotton on the reverse.
The front pocket has a cream & red stripe trim,
and the rear a plain khaki grosgrain ribbon.
176. “Indigo I” – £40 + p&p

How to choose a front & back, when both are so nice – it’s really a double-A side ! The blue is a lightweight linen, more muted in colour than shown in the front view here: more ‘denim’ than ‘royal’, I’d say.
There wan’t quite enough blue fabric for the pocket, so I used some of the purple linen with which the curtain (whence it had come) was bordered.
The lilac side is a lovely drapey medium-weight cotton whose colour tones perfectly with the indigo and purple. nb This side could be a cotton/linen mix – I’m not sure.
Both sides have a cream cotton pocket trim with a single indigo stripe.
177. “Tobacco I” – £40 + p&p

Light-to-medium weight tobacco coloured linen at the front paired with a soft brown-on-cream pinstripe cotton on reverse.
Linen has a pocket trim of dark khaki-green grosgrain ribbon, while the cotton has ginger-brown grosgrain.
178. “Sage I” – £40 + p&p

Palest sage green linen union (50/50 linen & cotton) on the front with a soft, lightweight grass-green & cream pinstripe cotton on the reverse.
The linen side has a cream cotton pocket trim with single broad green/grey stripe, while the reverse’s pocket features a solid chestnut brown grosgrain ribbon.
179. “Gentle Grey I” – £30 + p&p

One of my favourite grey cotton fabrics: mid-weight, with barely perceptible narrow vertical tram-line. Set off by a cream & black striped grosgrain ribbon pocket trim.
The reverse is a lightweight, part-seersucker cotton in shades of grey & white. This side has a plain black velvet ribbon on the pocket.
181. “Indigo II” – £35 + p&p

Same as “Indigo II’, above, except for faded area just below strap at rear. (The price is reduced, but I just think this slight flaw adds more character !)
182. “Tobacco II” – £35 + p&p
Identical to “177. Tobacco I”, above, except that the pocket trim on the pinstripe side is chestnut brown.
(Reduced: v small mark beneath front pocket)
183. “Sage II” – £40 + p&p
Same as “178. Sage I”, above, except in the choice of pocket trims. Here, the plain green side has cream grosgrain ribbon with 2 narrow grey-green stripes, while the pinstripe side has a solid dark khaki-green grosgrain trim.
185. “Gentle Grey II” – £30 + p&p
Identical to “179. Gentle Grey I”, above, other than this reverse side having plain scarlet satin ribbon pocket trim.
187. “The Denim One ix” – £45 + p&p
Another denim one paired with a pretty Cath Kidston floral print on duck egg blue lightweight cotton (both have pocket trim of red satin ribbon).
188. “The Denim One x” – £45 + p&p
Denim again, this time with pocket trim of cream ground with single indigo stripe and – on the reverse – a cool mid-blue / white pinstripe lightweight cotton (with simple grey grosgrain ribbon trim).
189. “The Denim One xi” – £45 + p&p
This denim one has a pocket trim of grosgrain ribbon: cream ground with 2 celery-green horizontal pinstripes. Which tone well with the reverse of the pinny: an unusual citron/lime-yellow lightweight cotton reverse (with cream-based grosgrain trim again, but this time with 2 black fine horizontal stripes).
